HYPEWIFI ADVERTISING HOT SPOT

USER/PATRON INFORMATION

In order for patrons to logon to the Internet, they have to view and complete the process of entering the HypeWifi Zone through a web site branded with advertiser and location information. The information contained on the access page can range from a few banners to a custom tailored advertising campaign based on customer demographics. Polls, questions and even giveaways can accompany an access page and give the advertiser the advantage of the highest level of user statistics, demographics and product sales than has ever been achieved through a traditional means of advertising. And with the addition of more complex campaigns, a complete customer profile can be gathered from the usage and traffic tracking of all of the wifi locations that have been purchased as well as from the entire HypeWifi network.

CUSTOMER/LOCATION INFORMATION

In order for wifi locations to become active within the HypeWifi network, the site where the wireless equipment will be located must complete a demographic and sales profile. This demographic profile may be matched up with additional sales information advertisers may have in order to direct campaigns to both site patrons as well as site owners. Once a wifi zone has been installed, customers can then use the wireless connection to access the Internet for business purposes as well as any other use they may need. Giving sites wireless access provides multiple opportunities to reach customers every time a user logs in.

SECURITY AND SUPPORT

HypeWifi Zones use encryption technology to ensure that any information pertaining to a campaign is secure. The wifi users also have the option to use industry standard wireless encryption technologies such as WPA/WPA2 to assure that their valuable information and transmissions will be safe. Each HypeWifi Zone is also remotely monitored 24/7 to proactively solve potential problems and provide the highest uptime possible.

freedom to access the Internet using laptops, PDA's or Blackberries. It is now possible to offer Internet connectivity to them for FREE while displaying your product or brand to them. Our technology allows companies to display advertisements to visitors before they can access the Internet and to collect specific information from them in the process.

HypeWifi advertisers gain the benefit of a new and revolutionary marketing opportunity to ask questions and gather information from directly from consumers based on geographic location and establishment sales demographics--collecting responses from targeted ad campaigns before allowing them to access the Internet.

HYPEWIFI ADVERTISING KIOSK FOR FREE WI-FI HOTSPOTS

HypeWifi can add a Kiosk to your Wifi package that will increase visibility of your brand or product while letting users know that they can use the Internet from that location. Advertisers can use the kiosk to push ad or informational content to wifi locations directly from HypeWifi's Advertising Management Console. Content is sent to the kiosk on a timed basis and can be tailored to meet that location's demographics.

Placing a kiosk in any location would allow patrons to view the advertisers brand and product lines, generate interest in a new product, and tell the customers that they can bring their wireless laptops or portable devices the next time they come in. Kiosks can be configured to show news, weather and other information if desired.

WHY SPONSOR FREE WIFI HOTSPOTS

Hotspots can be an effective tool for sponsors to target the actual "buyers" of their products and gather specific information to determine how to market and what best to market within dealer/retail establishments.

"Pay for" Hotspots do not generate much revenue...

Wi-Fi technologies represent a small but rapidly growing component of the wireless communications services. Spending on Wi-Fi services is expected to increase from $48 million in 2004 to $270 million in 2007. The availability of free Wi-Fi services and the use of the technology as a promotion for other services or bundled with other services will limit the potential for Wi-Fi as a stand-alone revenue generator. Nevertheless, Wi-Fi applications are growing at a 17.4 percent compound annual growth rate. However, using HypeWifi's method for advertising a Brand rather than bundling access with another service, advertisers gain more empirical marketing data while offering a truly "free" service to its potential customer base.

Edge Consult says that Wi-Fi increasingly resembles a bona fide disruptive technology: This report actually has a handful of interesting tidbits about the development of the Wi-Fi market. The researchers modeled five hotspots, three where service is available for a fee and two where service was free. They found that, on average, profits for the free hotspots were 533 percent higher than those that had paid services because of increased coffee and food sales. While these were just modeled scenarios, this may be the first actual study I’ve seen comparing profits of fee vs. free hotspots. That’s a significant case for offering free hotspots.

Jupiter Research found that just 1percent of online consumers polled recently had paid to use a public hotspot. In the Jupiter research about the potential for Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) include the following:

Twenty percent of online users spend up to 25 percent of their time working away from their homes or primary offices...While 13 percent of respondents said they would be willing to pay for wireless access through a public hotspot, only four percent of consumers reported they were willing to pay a WISP directly, indicating that hotspots will not survive as stand-along businesses except on the small-scale...Hotspot operators must look beyond pure consumer revenues from public access to enterprise investments for a positive return on investment overall.
